Fingers, Singers and Thinkers
Thinkers get things done, fingers also can and singers they can get things done but what's being done distinguishes them and the output produced thereof. Back in the early 2000s, I happen to come into contact with the motion graphic: Double Sense. Starring two of Ghana's locally groomed traditional actors. These two: Judas and Santo gave us memories to live with. An incident the movie depicted still resonates in my thoughts sometimes. Probably, if thinking of getting things done. Judas had been betrayed by his wife and wanted to end it all, however, his approach meant not hanging the rope on his neck but at such a level that can never cause his death no matter the downward pull. Santo chancing on him, recommended he put the rope on his neck if he really wanted to kill himself!
In the series 'How to get away with murder', a court scene saw a boy who had unfortunately shot his dad dead facing jail term, potentially life imprisonment. The boy had endured bullying from his dad
and had also seen first hand bullying of his mum. That day was a bad one for that daddy and he had no option than to end it for him. Endurance is one of the most difficult skills to master. It is often said, hurt people hurt people. Judas couldn't bare his, the boy couldn't either but the ability to endure unfair and abusive relationships is a way of life that's mostly acquired. People that have the ability to endure usually have received training to. Those that do not have such and aged need a saviour like Santo. But that is only possible if the victim is Judas who lacks the gut or means to quit it all or the wife that couldn't have the courage to report to an officer years surviving abuse.
