Introduction
There have been several occasions that has led to decisions taken within split of a second or without thorough thought leading to desired outcomes. Golden Life has been one of the few such decisions that has been taken in a rash but the results has not been negligible. The talk at Golden Life began with Insurance: A situation where a customer pays premium to receive indemnity in case a pre agreed mishap occurs usually unexpectedly. Insurance to these Golden Lifer's is not a new concept and although not explicit, Life Insurance and nonlife insurance is not new to them. Car, Health, Education, Fire, Shipping, travel and other classes of insurance has been made known to them.
BOGC Foundation
BOGC Foundation for the African Child was birthed in 2015, our charge to educate children and give them a sense of direction. This charge preceded a research into childhood and transitioning and the discovery was, Children with a guide or a cushion excel better and are able to transition faster to responsible adulthood. Upon this happenstance, our solution Ensurance (Education Insurance). Ensurance is an application and system that uses AI, preset pricing algorithms and nearest neighbour needs and decisions , creating thence an Insurtech hinged on an Edtech but for regulation. In summary; Ensurance by BOGC Foundation is an insurance that cares before the negative event/events. 'We care before crises'.
A Charge
Currently, the goal is to partner schools to make education easier and more accessible to students in need of such. We provide a cushion and a guide before crises period/periods. We believe prevention surpasses cure.
Why this matters
Consider your locality, consider the schools around. Now consider where the institution we are currently in is and consider the schools around it. Students your age and grade can be considered as your nearest neighbours. But some of you are better than these 'neighbours', some are maybe not so better. But how can you tell your levels comparatively before and after crises? Maybe some would say after BECE, others WASSCE the list can go on and on. That's when Ensurance comes in. Acting as the 'middleman'.
An example
When I started teaching back in 2009, I began with the use of this same guidance approach for all the students I tutored. Some listened others listened partially and the final group they can be demarcated to those that maintained their composure and those that didn't listen.
There was this class that consisted of about 30 students and this student in the class rank was between 15th to 22nd. His performance upon monitoring and testing was almost at par with his position then. After the guidance and directional activities, this student that was comparatively the most serious having taken to thought the consistent directions and takes as well as activities started showing improvement. His position moved from what I mentioned earlier to top five then top three until I left the school. In his words, he would be writing BECE in JHS 2 rather than JHS 3 as done by one of the persons or should I say mentors Risch Appiah (now a medical doctor) who I used to motivate them. There are several others I can mention but for time.
Vitals
The founder of Y Combinator, Paul Graham said if you don't have luck, you have to force luck to be by your side. How? by making yourself a big target for luck. Try lots of things, meet lots of people, read widely, Ask lots of questions. This gives you luck that sometimes money can't buy. How can this help? Someone may say I am not quite financially stable either, again that's when Ensurance comes in.
In conclusion, I will say we are currently receiving preorders and preregistrations. You can be part of the goal of bridging the Education inequality gap. Just visit www.bogcfoundation.com. Pre-register or preorder. If you preorder, it comes with a 30% discount. The sign up price is $1.70 which roughly is Gh¢ 22.
Why you should be paying even for signup
Most apps allow free signups, we can't because we seek to attract first, the serious, then those that can be and finally those that can be guided upon signup whether or not seriousness is a delimiter they pass.
If you have any questions, you should feel free and ask, if not, this is the question I have for all of you. "Why do you think you should be worried if your nearest neighbours have access to lessons, books and money for their education when you don't?
